'As a musician, and as a listener and collector, I enjoy the table full of releases that artists set up during their concerts. For me, fanzines, posters, tapes and limited-edition CDs from independent labels are objects of great beauty. Its modesty tell us about careful craftsmanship and love for music.
Thanks to Home Normal, we have together released Tour Tapes, an album that compiles three of my works: “Adormidera”, a souvenir cassette from my European tour; “Música para Manuel”, a tape from my first musical travel to Japan and “Pavel”, from my second trip to Japan.
It is a very limited edition of two CDs, with an austere and precious design illustrated with a photo that my aunt Mirta took at my grandparents' house in 1977. An object that holds music that I love very much, released together for the first time in this format and mastered by my friend Ian Hawgood. There are long pieces and very short ones; acoustic and electronic instruments, experiments with tapes, rustic, recorded in my old house in Buenos Aires and in my home in La Cumbre, a mountain town in Argentina.
It is true that music allows us to travel within ourselves, remember forgotten dreams and even inhabit that liminal moment in which we are neither asleep nor awake. Tour Tapes is also a field-book of the places I visited, a postcard of the friends I met, forests, book and record stores, venues, cities, alleys, homes, gardens and temples. A journey that, as the poet Matsuo Bashō wanted, leads to distant towns by secondary roads.'

Founded in Tokyo in 2008, Home Normal
crossed over the connection from the netlabel scene to present analog ambient music in unique physical packages across our connected labels, leading the way for the micro-label movement in 2009.
Moving to the UK in 2019, our releases can still be found in independent stores across Japan.
We were heartbroken to hear of the passing of Helge (Mind over MIDI). One of the leading voices in electronic ambient music, he was a true talent and a wonderful person who will be sorely missed. Home Normal
The first of two albums by observatories (Ian Hawgood and Craig Tattersall) this October. The first of these ('frost forms') released on the superb Quiet Details run by our friend Fields We Found. Home Normal
Take the shimmering guitars of the Cocteau Twins, dilate and lengthen with the wistfulness of Boards of Canada and release them like one of Robert Rich’s haunting soundscapes with a jazz coda and you have Carlo Giustini's 'Custodi'. It's brilliant. sepulchre19
